Even growing up north of Chicago, my mom regularly aired out the house in the dead of winter and we always cracked the bedroom windows to sleep. I don’t think I’ve closed my bedroom window once since summer ended here. I need fresh air.

Today is beautiful out. Some people really just have vast temperature preferences.

I am completely confused how someone would wear a puffer coat, winter hat, scarf, and gloves on a day like day, especially walking in the sun.

The air isn't necessarily stale just because you don't open your windows. Bathroom fans, vented clothes dryers, and kitchen vent hoods (without makeup air) suck air out of the house, and it's replaced by outside air.

We started cracking the bedroom windows at night in a desperate attempt to escape our perpetual sinus headaches. Amazingly it REALLY helps! It alleviates the effects of the hot and dry forced air.

My office gets full sun, all day, and can get really warm. I open up the window to bring in some fresh air and keep the temp down. My cat also likes to lay in the windowsill and sniff the fresh air.
