Are you kidding? They haven't even brought back special needs kids for a minute.

It’s definitely possible. We have family in other states, whose districts have brought back Orchestra safely - spacing them out, kids wear masks. It’s definitely possible.
But, dang, playing Tuba with a mask is hard!![]()
There are no tubas in Orchestra. Tubas play in Band.
Orchestra is strings - violin, viola, cello, bass. All of those can be easily played while wearing a mask.
Good luck with flute, if you want to be pedantic
DP. I like being pedantic, actually, but I am baffled by your post. Orchestras in MCPS are string orchestras. No flutes (or tubas).
Yeah, I didn’t understand either of the two PPs.
There are no flutes or tubas in an MCPS orchestra. Really not sure what the PP is trying to say.
Mcps isn’t going to bring back some music and not others. “Not fair.” Or are you new to the county?

Anonymous wrote:Hello OP, we moved from out of State a while back. We have both HS and MS kids. If you are thinking of buying a house I would really skip ahead and do all the work on the high schools and get that right, rather than focus on MS with orchestra, or even MS in general. I would also consider the commute in your decision making.
There are plenty of opportunities for orchestra outside of school (I have two playing the violin).
Good luck, and brace yourself as the school system is not what you will be used to, but the lower taxes will be a nice change.
