How would anyone host a party with COVID going on?
It wouldn't be difficult to do a Zoom party.

I agree, I HATE being solicited for MLMs and don't buy 99.5% of the time, but I'd buy something by Pampered Chef from my SIL, and tell her I don't need anything else for my kitchen
This.
This is not a huge ask and you may end up loving whatever you buy. Its not like she asked you to host a party or something.

But this could be so much worse:
- she could be asking you to host a party
- she could be selling something awful like jewelry or oils or Jesus-themes purses
Just buy a spatula and/or a gift and move on and wish her luck. EXPLICITLY say something when you tell her like "I hope this help get you started!" to imply that this is not a regular thing.
I don't know if Pampered Chef does parties, but if so, I get that this is loaded with a ton of dread, and that sucks, but hasn't happened yet. You do not have to do that if she ever asks ("Oh, Karen, I'm really not the party host type. But if you want to drop off some catalogs I can give them to a few friends."...repeat without emotion if necessary).
Just do it and move on. It's annoying but it's probably the best way to approach it.

Bar Pan Lover here. It is awesome. You can literally cook anything on it and it won’t stick. Also it gets seasoned and better over time. I roast a lot of veggies and the kids will only eat the ones from the bar pan. It is magic.
Maybe OP can send along her SIL’s link?![]()
