4) toy vehicles, baby dolls, barbies, animal figurines all tied for last place but still do get regularly played with
Stuff we have that never gets played w and I plan to give away or put away and save til they’re older:
Brio Train tracks + trains
Dollhouse
Little people figures and buildings (little people school, barn, etc) and playmobil sets (which we have a TON of thanks to grandparents)
Board games
Any “STEM” sets or other building toys besides magnatiles and Legos
Any craft kits
It's so interesting how some toys just never catch on for some kids. Our hot items for a 4.5 and 6.5 year old are:
- magnatiles
- craft kids with glue, pipe cleaners, sparkly things, pom poms
- certain floor puzzles (mainly for the 4-yr-old) - 50 states, sharks, solar system
- wooden trains/tracks
- board games (Fairy Game, Candyland, Bingo, Sneaky Snacky Squirrel)
- charades game
- small trampoline
- play kitchen and food, especially coffee maker and ice cream
Never caught on:
- dollhouse
- legos
