They won't.
Went to OGBC tournament Labor Day with strict rules with only two members per family and brought 4-5. People had masks but weren't always socially distanced and some were without masks when away from others.
Had game at SoccerPlex last month and it was same deal. Be smart. Wear mask near people. Don't if you are alone and want it off. They're just trying to avoid having big crowds but nobody is regulating by asking people which kid they're coming to see.
Christ- you are clogging up the sidelines with your 7 guests, F@cker. People need space to spread out on the sidelines and your clan took up a half.
Selfish, selfish.

These performative rules are an unnecessary pain in the neck. Bars and restaurants are still open but these tournaments are going to prevent a single parent spectator outdoors which presents basically zero COVID risk.
Yeah, it really is stupid. How is it "safe" to be indoors at a bar/restaurant, but somehow less safe to be outdoors watching a sporting event? In both scenarios, one can socially distance (in fact, it's much easier to maintain social distance outside) ... some reasonable limit like 1 or 2 spectators per play would be more than enough to keep folks very spread out.
Our governor is stupid so nobody should be surprised that his COVID order is stupid.
I think Northam has been great. It is not Northam creating these Tournament policies. It would have made more sense to stick with no Tournaments and avoid this mess but sponsoring clubs could not resist the money and everyone wants the dog and pony show. Now there is this pressure to just do something to show you are concerned (while still collecting all the money) and here come the nonsensical policies.
I think Northam is an idiot.
Northam has been really favorable to youth sports. His office issued clear guidance back in the summer that they would allow soccer games even when the COVID hysterics were out in full force. His administration has worked with other youth sports to give them a path forward.
The 25 spectator limit for outdoor sports is a misfire but I am sure he will be open to adjusting it. These November tournaments are a cluster f@ck and that is way more on the youth soccer organizations than Northam. They serve little purpose and it would have made more sense to stick with the league games and scrimmages with no tournaments for this Fall.
