EL level 1 at all grade levels k-12
Some schools have given the green light to bring in some Gen Ed students who are failing
Student athletes practicing at school daily
So in other words, not a representative population.
In what way are they not representative? How do you think a student who doesn’t speak much English somehow transmits virus differently than a student who is fluent ? How are athletes not representatives of students who might play band or be involved in theatre but who can’t be at school and aren’t covered by VHSL to allow them? Stop being ignorant.
Do you think VHSL will pull the plug ?

A third of the High Schools had cases in the past few days.
It’d wreak havoc in the county if we had in-person right now. Parent, please get realistic. DL is here until Q4. At the very minimum. Some noise I have been hearing about also starting 2021-2022 SY with virtual options due to lack of immunization within the staff and student body.
What I hate about this list is it doesn’t tell you which are staff and which are students. Cases in this list are students who were at school this week and now classmates and teachers are in quarantine . Ask me how I know.

It's because they don't like kids. Kids are annoying, obnoxious, rude, lazy, disrespectful, unmotivated, cheating brats.
So again, why be a teacher then?
3 months of holidays maybe? ‘Decent’ health benefits?
Just thinking out loud. Fwiw I’m also a teacher. It’s my passion. But considering the out of touch and arrogant parents in this area I dont to the extra mile unless it’s to preserve and protect my income. If helicopter mom demands an A for her lazy, sorry excuse of a child, I’ll try my best to not do so. The moment I see my job might need attention you get that A immediately. You dont learn crap. You get your A. But in college or real life you’ll get bytch slapped in the face by reality. And then helicopter mom can go eat fecal matter.
Mrs. A, is that you?
Idk who that is. But that post hits home.
I love the “my son has been a straight A student until your class”. Parents think getting anything different from an A is going to reduce their child’s future in any way? On the contrary, it allows them to deal with adversity. Why is this cancel culture toxic shitty participation-trophy useless generation of parents allowed to continue with this charade? Not a single person in school board or holding positions of decision stops them in their tracks. Nooooooooo we need a need grading policy. No kid can receive less than 50%. Even if they are caught cheating. Wtf???
Another post from 2019...
