I'm so scared of this happening to us. Grandparents are local but high risk. DH and I are both 41 with a preschooler and an infant, but we have other risk factors (I'm healthy but asthmatic; DH is overweight). Our local friends are all being so cautious, I just don't see that as an option for us.
Yes, really. I would probably mask up and go stay with the children at their own home, work out getting the children tested, and then come up with a plan with DH based on their results. I'm 29yo with no pre-existing conditions or other high risk factors. I've thought about this a lot as I do have some extremely close friends without family around and I'm confident I would do this for them if needed.
