India is a nation of 1.8billion people. Mindy Kaling or my kids don't have to carry the torch of Indian heritage and culture. 1.8 Billion people can do it for themselves. Instead, my kids and Mindy Kaling and carry the torch for what it means to be Americans and live life like good, ethical, inclusive Americans. And my kids and Mindy Kaling can go and vote for a functional adult in November.

January Jones was tight lipped about her out of wedlock child. No one cared. Same with Minnie Driver.
Then there's the slew of white actresses that have adopted while single. No one bats an eye.
Um I don’t care what color you are, having children out of wedlock is unnatural and unacceptable. Children need stability. I recall Angelina and Brad Pitt thinking that it was okay to have children out of wedlock. Their children disagreed and pushed Brad & Angelina for a wedding because even children recognize the need for a family unit.
Getting married before having children (adopted or natural) provides stability for a family unit. Planning for marriage and children allows the parents to create a strong foundation for their children. There is no amount of money that can make up for a stable family unit. Hence, it’s why so many celebrities are off beat (drugs, suicide, depression, addictions, sexual abuse), usually it’s because they didn’t have a strong, solid foundation. Just because celebrity culture is doing it doesn’t mean the rest of the country should participate. It’s common knowledge celebrities often do anything for fame and fortune. (Harvey Weinstein??)

NM. Looks like she has Katherine and now Spencer. Adorable.
I really wish she'd picked Indian names for her children, but I understand why she didn't. I wonder if they have her real last name or her stage last name.

This is not true

Kids with fathers are more likely to be abused or molested. But that doesn't matter to women like you as long as everything looks good on a christmas card.

Because there are two very, very famous people associated with those names: Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. It’s akin to naming them Brad and Angelina.

I like both of those names separately, but as siblings it’s a bit too twee for me.
What? Why? They totally work. It could have been Katherine and Kirk Kaling.
Katherine ...
and Spencer. ...

I disagree. Lucky kids of a single educated self-made mom who wanted them.
Unlike say a Tiffany Trump whose mom was a cum bucket for a married cheating dad and was booted out after two years when he met Melania.
