But all of the marketing has convinced everyone they need SUVs - don't want to be showy - show some common sense and get a mid size car.

I mentioned Sequoia above, but the Land Cruiser is another great choice, although it's quite a bit more expensive. But it is a much nicer vehicle than the Sequoia, especially the interior.
