Peters is great. I really wish Sherrod Brown took up the job. He is a progressive, focused on labor. He won solidly in a red-state against a strong opponent. He also raised a ton of money, most of which were individual contributions.

If the democrats ran more candidates like Sherrod Brown, we would be in a much better position.

I understand Heather Mizeur has announced she is running against him. I don't know much about her yet so I haven't thrown any money her way-- and I don't have much to donate-- but I will do what I can to get Harris tossed out of congress.

The problem with Heather Mizeur is that she is a pretty progressive candidate in a state that is safely liberal, but not progressive. Progressive candidates do not do well except in places like Montgomery County (where she is from) which is very progressive. But the rest of the state is not progressive, just liberal close to moderate.

She's going to have an uphill battle much like any other Montgomery County progressive has had when looking for office outside of the county.

I can see PA and WI changing, particularly if Ron Johnson (R) is still the nominee in WI - he is universally hated, and Fetterman is the nominee for the dems in PA.

It's dysfunctional because Mitch McConnell made it that way, and allowed White nationalism to take root. If leaders cannot lead, then they need to get out of the way for those who will. The GOP, other than judges and tax cuts, have been an obstructionist party for decades.

“Who’s not likely to be on the list: Representative Jim Jordan (OH04). While Jordan is a popular choice among anti-establishment conservatives, he’s only a cycle away from holding the gavel on the prestigious Judiciary Committee. It seems unlikely that he would choose to be a freshman Senator instead.”
