People complain about DL, kids being isolated. Then they try to get out of the house and people still complain.
She is the TEACHER, so presumably she has to speak. She says that her students can hear it. Yes, it is her property and she can ask kids to wait to use it without being a jerk. Allowing people to use your things doesn't mean that she forever gives up any input into its use.

We agreed that if I have a red piece of construction paper taped to my window it means I am on a conference call and the kids don't play until I take it down, if they are already playing I tell them when I am getting on a call and they take a break. I am very conscious about making sure the paper stays up no longer than necessary. We don't overlap that often and I appreciate my neighbors help on the issue. to me this is like not running a leaf blower before 11 am on the weekend or while a neighbor is entertaining. It is not something a neighbor is required to do, it is nice that they agree to do it.

I know people who put it on the street - which makes it public use. So you can not dictate when people use it.
If it is on your property - you can set guidelines.

Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be! Stop being so hard on them for using that sport goal!

Seriously people! It’s her basketball hoop on her property. She’s being nice and letting the neighborhood kids use it.

Anonymous wrote:Many noise cancelling headsets also have a noise reducing microphone set up that filters out other sounds. They are a huge help in the age of Zoom. It might be worth trying one since it will also improve the quality of your voice audio.
