If we say sex/gender can be fluid, why not race? To me sexual differences are more concrete and binding than racial and she honestly believed it to be true for a long time to have pulled it off. I don’t know, but I hope people leave her alone and the mob lets this go.

You are suggesting he planned for this years ago? Or that he manufactured the years of evidence? Have you checked for aliens in your attic?
I have zero evidence he has any involvement. But yes, he is capable of pulling off a multiple year con job. He hires conservative activists to infiltrate progressive organizations and Dem campaigns all the time. Do you know that James O’Keefe’s organization takes in $10-20m per year of dark money donations from conservative mega donors? He has the means to pull this off.
I’d like to hear more from Jessica Krug. Somehow she was able to hide her true origin story and get around background checks. Something isn’t adding up and that’s why I’m inclined to think that something more nefarious is happening. Her case hits all the conservative talking points about race, identity, academia, etc. This case is almost custom made to dominate conservative news cycle for a month; it’s an intersection of every conservative grievance, It all seems too convenient.

DP but what do you think background checks do?? They don’t go check parental race to find any discrepancy.

On Twitter, Yarimar Bonilla (an academic who was her colleague briefly) said that her current tenured position was a diversity hire. She’s also held fellowships earmarked for POC. So she has definitely benefited from her lie.

If people can think there's been a cosmic mistake that makes them a woman in a man's body or a man in a woman's body, why can't someone white say they are a black person in a white person's body? I thought Rachel Dolezal made perfect sense as an AA person, more than as a white woman.
