Why is that? Boredom?
Many different reasons. Entitlement, self-loathing, didn’t turn out like they thought they would, escape from family responsibility, variety, age/midlife crisis, personal mental issues, low self-esteem, addictions, repeating patterns for their childhood, etc.

Yep, and it's an evolutionary preference. Females of all species look for mates that exhibit high fertility (technically fecundity), because it means their kids will have high fertility. Women who used that strategy got more decendents, and passed the same preference to their daughters.
Wut
I know right. When this guy and the one one who talked about alpha men write this stuff, it’s like this is all facts as opposed to theories proposed by some people, and then many go on to say that this is what ALL men believe. Most times I ignore this stuff but sometimes it’s just annoying that they believe their view is what all men believe unless there’s something wrong with those men.
Yeah, it's just a theory, but it's well founded, so I thought I'd put it out there for people to think about. In the scientific view, we all have reproductive strategies that have evolved with us. Unless you are a creationist, it shouldn't be surprising.
actually, this type of thinking on evolutionary biology hasn't been around long enough to be tested by new evidence that appears and the theory still holding up time and time again. Definitely not a creationist but again you did the same thing that I reference above: if you say something, it must be true and if they disagree with you, well it must be that there's something wrong with me (I must be a creationist otherwise I would believe everything you write). It'a circular argument that you use and it's just a wrong way to approach any argument.
+1. Its exhausting.
Exhausting? Is this something that comes up all the time for you day to day? To me it is exhausting that incels have seized on it to justify their own misogyny, but that's a reproductive strategy too, albeit wrong-headed. We are all animals. That is a scientific answer to OPs observation/question, certainly not the only one, but it is well founded and the literature is broad and deep. It is not circular.

WTF? I haven't known a ton of high status men looking for arm candy trophy wives who date "fat insecure toads." If you're going to be a misogynist a-hole you should at least get your tropes right.
