Absolutely no problem with telling somebody to keep their distance when they don’t respect your space. I am skeptical about the real value of masks and wisdom of prolonged lockdowns but absolutely follow the guidelines. It is a matter of respect for others even if you don’t think it has a material impact on risk (and frankly, it probably has a significant impact, and it is costless, like civility and courtesy). I think the left wing versions of Karens would be people showing up to practices or games in grim reaper outfits telling everybody they are spreading the virus by playing and that the kids will die. People have the right, but you can expect people to push back pretty hard on that behavior.

While I doubt it would happen, would be interesting to see a team get DQ'd in a final because a parent refuses to wear a mask.

Just say that you are with the other team.

The restrictions were lessened. Both parents are siblings are able to attend and I don't think parents have to wear masks and I don't think temperature checks are required of the players now.

since when?

I received an email from my team manager earlier today who received an email from the tournament people.

I think it all comes down to the County Exec. Consider the number of teams attending this event, I hope strict guidelines are in place.(ie mask wearing, social distance, crowd control)

They have been doing lacrosse tournaments all summer. From what I heard compliance from parents is only about 50%.

The reason they have parents sign COVID waivers is because they don't have the manpower to enforce the safety precautions. We attended a tournament where families were not wearing masks, social distancing was not being followed; and the 1 parent/family member on the field was not being enforced.

We lucked out and are pretty much back to back on Saturday , so we were thinking of trading off keeping one parent in the car for each game. I've heard of Lacrosse tournaments when they checked on entry. I have no problem with one spectator, just checking how they enforce.

They do not enforce any of the “rule”. Just do what you want.

Yes. This is how we win the fight against Covid!!

Every @sshoke just doing what they want and ignoring rules and guidelines.

You sound like a Biden supporter. The sky is falling!

I am a Biden supporter and admit I threw up a little in my mouth reading all the prattling about not following rules and guidelines. Yes, America really loves these kinds of people. It’s the new version of the church lady. Gag.
