Anyone in the Baltimore area with test feedback? Ideally the PCP tests and not the rapid test.

I got a Covid test at Preston’s Pharmacy in Arlington on Friday afternoon. They said a 3-5 day turnaround. I got the results on Tuesday, so 4 days. Not quite 72 hours, but better than the 5 days it too the Righttime Clinic.

I got one at Righttime in Bethesda last week, got results in 7 days. In the interim, I went to Medstar and feigned symptoms so I got a rapid test. Both negative

PP what was the price for this? I thought they only offered rapid tests if you had symptoms?

I am also wondering the cost of this. I can stop in on my way to Maine.

I'm the person who posted about the place in York, ME. That was information i found on Tripadvisor forums. The same person who said that also said they may be opening similiar testing sports in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor perhaps as early as August. If i hear anything else, I'll post it here.

Here is the link to the York Hospital Covid testing appointment scheduler. There is one appointment today at 3:20 and tomorrow at 2:00 pm if anyone on DCUM needs to grab it. Otherwise, I couldn't find another online apppintment until end of August. Maybe they open up appointments on a daily basis?

Or people cancel last minute and an occasional appointment opens up? I snagged my appointment times for mid-August a few weeks ago, when i first heard about it. I'm still going to look for a cheap RAPID test around here, but I'm not hopeful. If I get something around here, then presumably i'd cancel the York appt and something would open up last minute in York.

I thought the rapid test is not sufficient for Maine’s testing requirements for OOS visitors?

Dont think the quarantine rule currently applies if you live in DC bc positivity rates are lower than in MD and VA
It will starting on Tuesday as DC's number are now in range for quarantine.

I need to travel to Mass this week. I have appts both with MoCo free testing and OneMedical. Need rapid results but I’m afraid this won’t be possible. Please tell me about recent experiences with either.

Wrong. The Abbott IdNow platform, which is the only point of care rapid test out there, has had an issue with false negatives. Up to around 30%...

But that's actually helpful, because you need it to be negative to avoid quarantine.

Thanks for the laugh

You can get a drive through RAPID test at York, Maine hospital for $25. You need an appointment. The next couple of weeks appear to already be booked. They're going to be adding more RAPID tests in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor, hopefully in August.

They are fully booked on my dates. Ugg

Called my local urgent care and it’s taking 5-7 business days to process and it’s unbelievably expensive....looking at over $300. I might try the place in Maine.
