What’s an ABD?

American Born Desi I'm guessing? Generally I've heard "ABCD" but ABD is much more polite.

I don't think any of that matters. Vyasar seems like such a superb guy, and him and Rashi seemed like a good fit, but he confirmed they're not together and that he's single. I hope he finds the one.

The insta sounds like a bunch of bullshit to save face and secure future pussy. He is a f*ck up. He flakes several times including meeting her friends for the first time at a restaurant because he got into an argument with his sister. It’s bullshit. He was not that into her and probably went on another date. He is a lying asshole. Maybe she does not fit with his educational or intellectual standards cuz he is stuck up so that’s why he treated her like this. She is sweet and pretty hope she finds someone who appreciates her!

Newsflash: he’s gay

The process is not different than a lot of Indian-Muslims I know, so it was kind of weirdly absent.

Why we they put Muslims in this? This is for Gujarati and Punjabi rich Indians only need apply

We can't understand you when you spike your chai, auntie.

I'm really familiar with the matchmaking industry for Indians and the diaspora. Muslim Indians generally only go to Muslim matchmakers. There are a lot of Muslim matchmakers and that's the only clientele they have. Because they are a huge population in India they have the ability to have their own services and they have entire wedding businesses dedicated solely to Muslim clientele.

Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Christians, are a much smaller religious minority so take part in the more generic matchmaking industry. You saw in the show there were biodatas for Catholic, Sikh, Jain.

It's entertaining, but the references to caste and 'fairness' are gross.
