If he had been in bed, and now wasn't, I wouldn't go look for him. Likely he moved to the couch because of snoring/sleeplessness/kids in the bed, etc. I sometimes do the same.

If he never came to bed, I text him. And if he doesn't respond, I go looking. This is not that uncommon when there is a work emergency, to be up late fixing it, but I get worried that he's knocked out with a medical emergency (this has never been the case) so I can't go back to sleep until I know he is ok.

^ Guy here and I used to take baths in the middle of the night for my bad back. It would relax me enough to go back to sleep without pain/tension.

He sleeps hard and works never notice me up. I don't usually go anywhere but often read in bed if I get anxious or if I was up dealing with the kids and can't fall back asleep.

Your husband takes baths at 3am? Bubble baths?
