A lot of parents were use to the previous principal who was Caucasian for many years and did a great job running all three school at the time. Principal Bell was just coming to DC. Principal Bell couldn't stand a chance. The neighbor hood is mainly Caucasian and that's who they want running the school. She didn't get a fair chance before they kicked her out. The person they voted for after her not no better and if you ask me He's actually worst. Several teachers turn over. Year after year after year. This new principal cover up everything and not honest with parents. The parents who voted principal Bell and talked bad about her. I'm sure they made mistakes as being a parent. But I'm sure they won't mention about that.
They never gave Principal Bell a fair shot. All they saw was the color of her skin. If we going to be honest let's do just that. So to bash her and to throw dirt on her name like y'all doing in these comments just shows how ignorant you are. When she left Watkins and went to another school and try to thrive there. That should have been that. Not come on here and continue to bash her.
People really show there true colors and hide behind these computers with there mask on.

We are? I've found Principal Bell's communication to be exactly in line with Principal Brody's. She has sent out weekly email updates every Sunday, just as Principal Brody did. A quick email search shows messages from her on August 27, August 31, September 7, September 14, September 21, and September 28.
I can't really speak to any specific interactions with her or how she works with the teachers, but one of the main complaints I read in this thread was lack of communication, and there has been no difference in that regard.
Both of my kids have had great experiences with great teachers, despite the troubles of remote learning. I don't know how much of that is attributable to the administration, but at the very least I have not seen any difference from last year in that regard.
