Oh goodness, I love this. Love, love, love it as a POC who grew up in a stable home with parents still married and never was exposed to drinking, drugs, or infidelity. I did have the problem of paying for college but earned scholarships for undergrad and grad. Said earlier I have dated black, white, Hispanic, and Asian men. The biggest problem I have had in a few relationships was libido mismatch. College boyfriend who was black was low-libido. Hispanic man was the least...endowed. Best bedmate in terms of frequency, stamina, and size was the grad school boo.
No, no, no, I didn’t mean to imply all women of color are the products of broken dysfunctional homes. I am saying that I believe that someone like you, an educated professional, is still going to be a much stronger person than me, because frankly (to acknowledge my white male privilege) my life has not been tough.

It's rediculous to say I am racist for being attracted to certain races as it is to say I am only attracted to people who are in shape, or to full hair vs bald, large vs small cheated women, fat vs thin. Gay people are born this way, as it is for body features which includes skin tone.

This. You literally do not choose who you are attracted to.

Does "darker coloring" in this case mean Italian? Or Greek?
Come on, you know it doesn't. It means she prefers a british broadcaster.
? how does "darker coloring" refer to British broadcaster? What does that even mean? The funny thing is, my DH is British lol.
darker coloring means people with darker hair and darker skin tone. It can be any ethnicity. Some women prefer lighter skin tone/hair, as do some men. My DH who is fair haired/skin prefers women with darker coloring.
My DH told me he absolutely does not like red heads, even though he has some red hair (and our DS has redish hair). Some men love red heads. Some men prefer blondes. Some non black men prefer black women or latina women or asian women. Some tall me prefer short women; some prefer tall women. Who are you to tell someone who they should be attracted to?
People are attracted to different things; some people like the color yellow; others like blue. Some people like gray/white kitchens; others don't (I don't).
this article is stupid, and all it is is clickbait and trying to stir the pot. This is beyond dumb.
NP. "British broadcaster" is a clever reference to BBC.

"My industry has allowed daters who claim to be friendly advocates of black people to hide racial bias under the guise of dating preferences for far too long."
I am a friendly advocate of gay people and I don't date gay people. Shocking, I know, that those two concepts can exist.
This country is devolving between two idiot factions yelling at each other while the sane middle silently cries
I am going to start using this quote!

Having a preference must mean you are a racist. Sigh... where does it end?
