Our DD will be 4 in Nov. We are leaning toward 5 half days. But I’m not totally sure yet. It depends what her morning will look like. There will be a lot of restrictions in place, possibly mask wearing..not sure if that will be a good experience

We are waiting until the research is more conclusive. Right now, initial research suggests that, at reopened schools in Europe and elsewhere, the younger kids were less likely or didn’t spread the virus. But IMHO, there are still concerns:
1) this is fairly early
2) I’d like more definitive research.
3) I’d also be worried about how adults picking up kids can avoid contact/airspace with child-care employees, parents, etc. I can imagine some slip-ups.
4) Most of the research comes from countries with better control of the virus and better tracking. Not sure if that makes a difference for us, but just noting.

As the director of a preschool, this - play, read books together, get outside, use playdough, and just.... PLAY!

Going for one year of PreK is enough, trust me - your child will be wonderful and fabulous and do beautifuly at kindergarten with 1 year of preschool as a 4 year old.

Stay home, be safe.

+1 Long-time preschool teacher here; I absolutely agree!!

Should I keep my 4yo home from Pre-K? It's a full time program. I know I won't be able to teach him the way the teachers do.

Yes, because many children will be in a really bad way if schools don't open (unsupervised, not enough food, no one to make sure they do the DL). OP's kid is not one of those kids.
