You're kidding right? Please explain what this would do for MU families? Most of our players want college playing opportunities, not a pathway to Portland. It really makes no sense. We are not returning to MU next year.

You do realize that the Portland Thorns have a youth academy that was in the DA and is now in ECNL.

Didn't most of the players this year get offers to play in college? Just because they have this doesn't mean they're not going to try and get kids to play in college. Obviously you didn't like other things about the club, which is why you aren't returning.

Funny that TSJFCV just posted a brag of a former player (who went to Georgetown, by the way) now playing for Portland. Seems some folks and clubs value that pathway.

LMAO. They are 12 year olds. Who cares? Both teams may be substantially different in four years when it really matters. People can sleep on Metro if they want, but the staff there seems to be doing some different things than WSVA ever did.

All three teams should be at age this year with full rosters, 2008, 2007, and 2006.

They do not have an 08 team.

They do have an 08 team.

A lot of miss information. They have an 08 team.

They do, and it may actually end up being one of the better area teams at that age.

No chance of this. tSjFCV will destroy them for starters.

Nobody has seen the Metro team yet. Why do you immediately believe TSJFCV will destroy them?

Is TSJFCV that dominant a team? Based on Youth Soccer Rankings TSJFCV is ranked 10th. That seems pretty good until you realize they are ranked well behind the top VA teams. So they seem more of a “best of the rest” kind of team.

I’m not saying they won’t destroy Metro, because nobody has seen that team yet, but I think lumping TSJFCV in with the top teams may be a stretch.
