Do Brits use the term master bedroom? Wouldn’t it make sense the term refers to the room where the old guy who bought the house sleeps...which likely predates slavery in the Caribbean and American south?
Perhaps women should be the ones most offended by the term?

Old enough to recognize racism when I see it. Like “master bedroom,” owner’s suite” has a tie in to slavery. That is why the local multiple listing service is now calling the bedroom once referred to by these two names the “primary bedroom,”.
