I’m still waiting for a summer camp refund but an under the impression Flex’s online offerings are doing reasonable well. There also were probably limited financial outlay for the canceled programming so don’t think things are that dire. At least I hope not.
There is no world where online offerings will replace in-school camp and after school classes, not volume, pricing other anything else. There are hundreds of other online providers doing exactly the same thing and competing for the same kids with pricing ridiculously low. Flex is basically a company that connects babysitters (providers) to families. Their value add is minimal during the pandemic. That's what they are trying to do with their pods. Aside from the summer camps Flex doesn't provide anything, they are simply a middle man between PTAs & providers. There is no possible way they are thriving financially; if you are worried about their viability you should donate summer camp tuition.
