I'm the PP who asked. I think you're right the second dress OP posted is lovely but not appropriate for a fall wedding. It sounds like with the first dress it's just not your style? I would assume OP likes this designer's mishmash approach since she posted links to two of his dresses. I actually quite like the first dress, and I think it's perfectly appropriate for a fall wedding. (It comes in darker colors, too, if that matters.)

OP has since defended the first dress by saying it is "stunning." Well, then go buy your "stunning" dress, and enjoy it! I mean that sincerely. But don't ask for opinions and get mad that someone has the opinion that a dress is ugly.

Can you explain what you like about these dresses, but don't like about the ones OP posted? To me these look sort of slutty/matronly - like something that a fit 50 year old would put on to be a little showy. (I'm 47 and would wear them - not age shaming! Just these don't look like a young, leggy person's wedding wear.)

Me again. So funny that I searched before looking at extra criteria that you posted. There seems to be an a lot of awful out there, including Saks which is where I found a few gems. Some are so discounted that you can buy two. I assumed you were 4-6. And chose fall colors, with a bit of subtle metallic. I think the first one is your dress!
