Are you planning to move to Oklahoma?
Nope. Just giving an example of what other states are doing.
I love the plan Texas put together after reading though. Should be adapted by all states as it is well planned.
Bethesda is pretending covid doesn’t exist for fall.
I know, that's why we are there. They have common sense, similar to those in Colorado, Georgia, Texas, and Florida.

We got the offer and the payment schedule with the $500 deposit requirement and a notice that we will be getting complete new uniforms, so another $300. During the shut down, the team has had just 2 Zoom calls, no weekly check-ins or an app for regular training. Just a few reminders to keep up the skills. We weren't happy with the exorbitant fee for sub-standard coaching, sometime no coaching staff at games, few tournament scheduled and club owner arrogance last season, so the pandemic made this really easy...we opted out, as did many families.
If you're satisfied with your club and you have the funds, by all means, commit. I can't see making a payment to any club, especially one you weren't satisfied with or 'on the fence' about until we more is known. I just don't think Fall soccer is in the cards. If the clubs want you bad enough, especially the younger age groups, there will be a spot. Maybe this time will also give some clubs a realty check about touting expensive clubs that don't deliver...they are mentioned in lots of DC area soccer threads these days with not so great commentary.
Our club asked for $200 deposit and won't charge further payments (what they call "no play, no pay") if the fall season is delayed until the games are back. This mitigates our financial risk and we appreciate the club's effort to address the uncertainty so we are leaning towards renewing. Your situation sounds different and I can't blame you for walking away.
