LOL, not jealous. I would hate for my child to be in a school that is already competitive in elementary school!

Most of them aren't current (or alumni) Haycock parents so they have no clue. Say what you want about the Haycock community, but at the end of the day, everyone wants to be at the Center for LIV or move into the Haycock-Longfellow-Mclean pyramid zone, some even more so than some of the Langley pyramids. The school is massive, so yes, the Admin needs to deal with a LOT of involved parents.
We know a lot of Haycock families and no the issue is not just because of the size of the school, it's the socioeconomic status and entitlement a lot of the parents feel due to their socioeconomic status. No doubt it's a good school, but man you guys are overbearing!
I think it says a lot that so many other schools have been able to fill open Principal positions while it took Haycock two years, and then you guys hired a criminal!!
Why aren’t you attacking the Shrevewood parents who go their principal fired when she had health problems or the Freedom Hill parents who didn’t do anything when Bloom was letting abuse at their school (not Haycock) go unreported? It speaks to your obvious resentment of Haycock.
Because overbearing, entitled parents weren't the reason the Shrevewood principal was fired -- 30%+ of the staff leaving and legitimate complaints about the principal not doing her job was the reason. Freedom Hill parents didn't know what was going on - thank god the one teacher spoke up eventually and got Bloom and the other teachers arrested.
I don't see much difference between the Shrevewood principal's departure and Donnelly's departure. If she was AWOL, he was affirmatively damaging Haycock and in both cases teachers were leaving or threatening to leave.
Freedom Hill parents may not have know what Bloom let happen at their school; Region 2 administrators presumably weren't aware of it either when they let him transfer to Haycock last fall.
Haycock is doing fine right now with two assistant principals and one of the best principals ever to have served in FCPS acting as the interim.

Anonymous wrote:I wonder if this is the same Shrevewood parent wishing ill on Haycock who has done so repeatedly on DCUM ever since FCPS moved the AAP kids living in the Shrevewood area from Haycock to Lemon Road. She was so pissed, but obviously it needed to be done.

Depends on the grade and teacher ...

Do agree his days at Haycock are over but, as long as Augie continues to do a good job, Zuluaga has no incentive to treat a permanent replacement as a priority with all the other pandemic-related challenges.
I think the bigger issue is how much longer Augie is willing to be there. He's probably ready to ride off into the sunset. I hope he sticks around for a few more years though...
He’s also a bit older and has kids, so he could be worried about COVID (I don’t know this). But his age could put him at risk. ’m sure if he wants to retire for next year they will figure things out.

No one is jealous of this sh*t show.
They are lucky they have this babysitter and he is temporary as in he does not want it as a full time gig. No one does.

He worked at Rachel Carson MS... of course he knew he would handle haycock...
