A friend from high school and college was iced out of a friendship with a married couple, also friends from high school. We were all friends, though she was closer to them. They started sharing personal information with me (trying to have kids, etc.) a few years later at a friend's wedding while iced out friend was in earshot. I remember friend crying at the time. I never knew what happened between them.

Me too! And if you look at their history, they will often 'drop' people. And keep around the ones who don't call them on their BS.
