Oh?

Family and friends in Italy, Australia, and London. They bathe/shower daily.

I don't smell, and I don't shower every day. Neither do my kids.

Yes, it’s disgusting to not wash the sweaty bits and those parts that go to the bathroom. And I’m not sure why you’re proud to compare yourself to those that smell?

So not true. In the UK we bathe daily. Family in Japan and Canada bathe daily.

My 9-yr-old showers a few times or so each week. He knows when he needs one; I don’t need to tell him.

Gives each of them 20 minutes to play in the bath alone, which they need since all this togetherness is making us all antsy. Plus that way it kills an entire hour of our day with minimal supervision from me. I don’t understand how so many people find it easier to not bathe their kids. Don’t most kids enjoy playing in water?

Because their hair is so thick that it turns bathing into a huge chore for me. Getting all the shampoo in and out and then drying it takes 20 min per kid at least. And I can’t let it air dry, it would still be wet 24 hrs later. Their hair is barely even shoulder length, there is just SO MUCH of it.

You don’t have to wash their hair every time.

Every day is the rule but I’d say in the last 7 weeks we’ve been skipping once a week.

Baby every day, 5 yo every other day, which is the same as when he goes to "school."

The baby LIVES for her baths. The 5 y o is happy to splash around but I don't think cares that much either way.

What I do notice is that they both mellow out considerably and sleep better after a bath.

Sure they can. Different reasons maybe.

To the dry skin posters: for a lot of people daily bathing helps. Use a gentle cleanser and slather on a lotion meant for very dry, sensitive skin.

Me too.

People with dry skin cannot bathe daily.

Yes they can. Use lotion. Private parts need daily cleaning.
