So...they are probably asking/talking about you a lot so the kids dont feel abandoned/threatened by the arrival of new baby. They may worry about the fragility of their feelings right now, so discuss you frequently etc. Also, just becuase your children did not see any baby gifts given by other family members does not mean they were not given.

+1000 they are not hurting thebaby’s feelings with lack of gifts, baby doesn’t care. When the baby is older hopefully they will treat him well. Right now for the grandparents maybe it is between grandkids and new DIL,and they want the grandkids to feel precious
