Everyone will need tryouts. Players are going to return very different.
If you want the politics to continue—than yes keep the same teams even when other players have progressed well beyond current players.
News flash: the politics will continue and have already begun. Top DA players have already been contacted. This isn’t a vacuum chamber. ECNL coaches know the DA kids, some from long before they started in DA.

If Arlington boys teams are reluctant to join ECNL then that might be limiting for their girls to join ECNL since it is all in.
Metro United will be done either way.
Get ready for a new ex-DA league in some form or another that is not ECNL.
All those ECNL folks ought to be a bit fearful. Even if you don't like these teams or think the DA is filled with arrogant people, was a flawed concept, etc., there are some good players. I can think of DA goalkeepers, for instance, who absolutely could displace their ECNL counterparts at certain age groups.
If you are not a current ECNL starter the thought of ECNL not accepting DA clubs should terrify you.
yah, good luck with your virtual tryouts.

their TD.
I'm an Arlington parent. DD had a team Zoom call with her team last night. Coach basically said that they didn't get ECNL (blocked by a neighboring club) but they were working on other options.
I think they may have realized that DA was shaky but never thought it would be gone so quickly.
Coach scheduled another call tonight. I guess to discuss their plan? I have no idea.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
Let us know!!

The DA haven’t officially announced anything, what is going on

Anonymous wrote:FCV were kicked out of ECNL R a month ago. 0% chance ECNL wants them back. Time to head to mclean

lol, that's code for "please, FCV players, for the love of god, don't leave us"
I don't get it. They have no choice but to leave - unless FCV flips back to ECNL.
