I think that’s outdated now. It’s not easy to get in.

Not a step above Davidson.

There is a nice small downtown area within walking distance of W&L campus. Wake is loosely affiliated with a church can’t recall which. Southern school, religious affiliation - fine school but that doesn’t appeal to everyone. I haven’t visited W&L in years but had the feeling the undergrad was far more conservative than the law school.

W&L is more compared to other SLACS. More of a comparison with Davidson, Amherst etc. VERY much an enclave of the rich. Very few Virginians there. Mostly OOS. Private college.

A lot of full pay families. Wealthy family school but merit $ is there for families that truly need it. Good luck!

The surrounding area is kind of run down.

We visited last year and loved the campus but agree there is not much around off campus. At least nothing walkable. Most schools have at least some type of main street withing walking distance.

Wake is beautiful! But as someone on tour also commented, it feels like an isolated bubble with nothing around it. If that's what you like, you'll be happy. Greek supposedly dominates. Admissions emails are strange if that's any indication of the actual vibe there.

Not sure of how it compares to W&L. Depends on major. What are your thoughts on how many students will apply ED without seeing colleges and the uncertainty of the future?

Do you think that many students will apply ED1 with all the uncertainty and not having seen the school?

About a quarter of Wake’s most recent class receive need-based aid.
