Nobody tells us. You do your own math and guess work.. but if you ask me.. Look at China for some markers.. The Wuhan is sealed solid since some January what.. 10th?.. and now we have what?.. March 3th.. that is what.. ? .. almost two months...
I don't expect we will be shot solid or at least not all the time and not everywhere as much as country or even state or so.. but what I consider is just as what you see in Italy or Seattle.. at one point if there will be enough cases locally then it will feel safer to stay away from stores that will be a potential virus central, and also I would feel rather uneasy buying produce or groceries that are sitting in the place that is recycling the air breathed by so many potential carriers if anything.. So I would say two months worth of goods with the option to spread into 3 would be ideal
to avoid unnecessary trips out for safety. Of course this might be way too much but one can really stretch stuff once one gathers some stuff and based how it is going one can start just try to ration thing and use less and slower so it will last longer. It is mostly about basics really for survival and then you can just be creative to get stuff to kind of not to eat to boring but as far as pure survival it takes very little really. Think one bowl of rice per person can save you from starvation right? Not living but surviving.. so build up from there
Two weeks to me does not even scratch the surface because two weeks most people can go without any issues on what they bought last time need be. Also I doubt two weeks solve anything. What did it move in Italy, Korea or China? Nothing. Two weeks is like a minute in Corona clock.
