And that poor kid she is holding like a giant sack of flour under her arm. The child looks too old to need to be carried anyhow. Was that one trying to run away from us, thus she got the football hold?

I say good for her. Kids these days don't know consequences because they are being raised by permissive parents. The mom said by learning to respect her, he will respect others, which I agree on. So many parents are being soft on their kids and they wonder why their brats turn into ill mannered and disrespectful kids. Parents need to go back to discipling like kids 10-20 years ago. You never heard of many instances like we do today because they were taught from an early age how to act. I hope she doesn't listen to these permissive parents, and keep on teaching her son good behavior, manners, and respect.

Kids *hate* running errands with their parents. They don't want to go. They act up at the store, and so you leave to "punish" them? That makes zero sense. No wonder there are so many kids who act up at stores.

Leaving is a consequence of the child wants something and is told no and then won’t stop screaming about it. But otherwise you leave as to avoid causing a scene in the store and humiliating the kid. And trust me my kids do not like me consequences when we have to leave a store (in fact they are 7 and 10 and we haven’t had to leave in years because they don’t want to get grounded from everything fun for a week).

Good for her. That kid will learn valuable lessons.

Some of these responses is what is wrong with America. Too many lenient parents never punishing their kids, and you wonder why kids are they way they are today? No manners or respect for anyone else. I'm tired of parents with the " my kids just doesn't understand", " we don't want to punish him fro fear of self-esteem issues", or wanting to be your kids friend instead of a parent.

According to a follow up the kid is embarrassed by all the press about this . Gee you think?

I don't think it was about humiliation per se. If she wanted to really humiliate him, she would've made him do it in the aisle. She took him some place where there was some privacy, and obviously that can't be the men's room. And she probably didn't want to leave the store just yet because she still had things to get done. So, the next best place was the women's bathroom.

I don't know if she knew a woman was recording it, but as far as talking about it on social media, she probably 1. wanted a bit of fame 2. felt she was attacked and wanted to defend herself.

She had things to do, like buying materials for her wig?
