Will someone explain why this is ok?
Because when you tell me you're going to pass a law to make things that are perfectly legal right now a felony, with the intent of backing it up with deadly force, with police kicking down doors and confiscating guns, then I perceive THAT as a threat to my life.
But that's ok for politicians? They can threaten my life, with impunity?
How's that work?
You are insane. Levine isn’t threatening your life.

I'm sorry this was never explained to you, but that's how life in civilized society works. The government makes laws. If you violate those laws, there are consequences. Every time the legislature makes a law, something that had been previously legal becomes illegal. That's how lawmaking works.
And yes, when the government makes laws, they are backed up with force, and if necessary, deadly force. That's how laws work.
While you may feel the world revolves around you, it's really nothing personal. And no, you're not allowed to interfere with the lawmaking process just because you disagree with the legislature's idea of what should be legal.
I actually have no problem of angry citizens with pitchforks protesting outside legislators houses lest we forget Virginia's motto.

"Protesting." Right. When you start making physical threats and brandishing weapons you cross a line.

He didn’t threaten your life, snowflake. No need to get so hysterical.
The proposed ban was for new purchases.
And the guy standing outside Levine's house didn't threaten him, either. He was just standing there. Not threatening.
So I guess we can both be right, huh?

That's all well and good until we get around to goring YOUR ox.

Provide text from the bill at issue that shows where there will be forceable confiscation. If not, you are just making shit up to justify being an asshole and threatening people.
There was a line item in the budget for 18 new dedicated firearms enforcement SWAT Troopers to enforce the new laws.
Why form a couple brand new SWAT teams devoted to firearm enforcement if you're not planning on confiscating banned guns?
