OP maybe you should lobby for 100% smoker-only buildings?

And good luck with that.

Aren’t lots of buildings already smoke free?

Yes. California, sort of. I think it depends on how many units are in the building. (Someone renting a one-unit or two-unit townhouse might not have the same legal requirements. But, in a 200 unit complex? Absolutely.) You also have to be at least 20 feet away from a building to smoke.

Honestly, if you want to make the Libertarian argument on smoking, go right ahead. But most Libertarians agree that once you start hurting other people, the law should step in.

Seriously? Slate is your source?

Look, my kid has asthma. Even walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke on the street can trigger an attack. Asthma is DEADLY. What the h*ll is wrong with you to even try argue this is ok?

If your kid is that sensitive, sounds like it's on you to live far away from cigarette smokers in a more controlled environment.

Not anymore. Her kid is more important than your habit so sounds like is on YOU to get your fix outside the apartment building from now on.

slate is a liberal website . Here’s another one https://www.irishtimes.com/news/health/passive-smoking-have-the-risks-been-overstated-1.1634815?mode=amp

So, the American Lung Association, CDC, and pretty much every medical professional on the planet are all wrong, but Slate and the Irish Times have figured it out? Seriously. Do you even hear yourself?

If I have the right to breathe tobacco free air, I also have the right to breathe marijuana free air.

There are still a lot of unanswered questions around secondhand marijuana smoke exposure and its impact on chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, and lung diseases. No such ambiguity with tobacco - it’s poison.

Simple solution: stop buying a carton of Marlboro’s per week and save some money to either buy a house or move out of Virginia.

Also you can’t smoke outside of bars . Your literally have to walk to an alley and keep walking or it’s illegal . Yet you can crap in the steet or shoot up heroin
