RM is half the distance to Churchill than Kennedy. From a commute and busing standpoint, it would make more sense to have RM be a regional center for Wootton and Churchill.

The building is already 20% over capacity.

And Crown HS will relieve that.

There is no date even set for Crown yet...

If you are in the DCC, you only have the ability to attend IB without being accepted via test-in if you go to Einstein. Kennedy is the new regional IB that is test-in only.

I’m not sure what you mean. But I agree with poster who said that Kennedy would have to be as good overall as Einstein to justify going there for the IB program over staying at Einstein for IB.

Einstein is our home school. I know lots of families who opted for Einstein for the IB program rather than apply to Kennedy. Staying with your friends and families you know, having established sports and fine arts programs, these are all reasons to do IB at Einstein. We know kids who went to Eastern and Takoma magnets who decided not to apply to any programs and do IB at Einstein instead. DC is choosing between Blair magnet, CAP and Einstein IB right now. We personally know the cohort there and would support Them if they turned down the Blair programs to do IB at Einstein. (Go ahead and start the flame throwing!)
