The Consortium offers a multitude of classes, clubs, activities, food options, etc. Many students receive fellowships and most go to top grad schools. It is a very special place.

Pomona, Swarthmore, and Amherst are all highly diverse, and it's silly to argue otherwise.

How impossible is Pomona admission? I feel like people treat it as harder than HYPS. Is their ED better? Does DC count for geographic diversity?
It's really tough. https://www.pomona.edu/about/profile-who-goes-pomona
Acceptance rate for men was 9% and for women it was 6%. Overall 7.4%.
Given what is reported above, it does not appear that being from DC gives anyone an advantage. There is no lack of representation. Of 416 enrolled freshmen, 11 are from Washington, DC, 20 are from Maryland, and 23 are from Virginia.
What strikes me is that 19% are first gen.

You know a guy? Well that settles it, no one should go there because this guy knows a guy who is a "Total tool". I'll call Fiske and have them change their guidebook ASAP.
