if there was an Audi/BMW badge on the hood you'd worship it

“The sweet spot for fuel economy is often the basic single-aisle jet, often producing mpg better than bigger planes and superior to smaller regional jets as well. Boeing says the champ in its current line-up is the 737-900 with 180 passengers flying 1,000 miles. It gets nearly 99 mpg. The plane with the best average mpg in Airbus's current line-up is the A320 family.“
Yeah you call tell that article was written by someone who has exactly zero understanding of aircraft fuel consumption. MPG? Miles per gallon? Not even a standard of measure in the world of aircraft. Planes don't burn "gallons". Planes burn "pounds". Pounds per hour.
When you get the most basic, fundamental things like that wrong, there's no point in even reading it.

like wearing a sign in public saying “I don’t care about my kids future, the planet, your safety, or anything else but my ego.” Just cringe.
I don't own one and wouldn't simply because they are too big and get terrible gas mileage. But I wouldn't fault someone for buying a car that makes THEM safer in a crash vs. the other vehicle.
