Nobody knows. What I know though is that if 1 million+ loose their jobs even temporarily things will get ugly quickly. Now is not the time to chase the right time "to buy the dip" but rather we should all hope that we will remain employed. I have a so-called recession proof job but believe me if 1 million+ people loose their jobs in the next three months we will ALL be affected. So let's have compassion for those who have lost or will lose their jobs/houses in the next few months. The stock market is not the economy. Over the past 10 years thanks to very low interest rates and greed, some stocks were completely detached from their products/services. I remember last week Tesla was briefly more valuable than Boeing, really come on!

hey genius, can you say the whole thing one more time? use a coherent sentence?

Boy, somebody is a little jealous, eh?

Sure.

You're assuming/hoping that I have everything I own invested in the market. I don't. Among other things, I have two years worth of living expenses essentially in savings accounts, so I can weather pretty much any storm in the stock market. I'm also like the other poster -- I've been through crashes before, but always remained all in, and it's paid off. Buy and hold. Buy and hold.

You're trying to paint me as reckless, when I'm just being smart. Not sure why you're so annoyed with me. I'm just offering solid advice.

I haven't read the mortgage thread yet but are you one of the early retirees? If so, your posts have been a delight as I intend to retire at 50.

I'm 36 so I'm looking for a market correction so that I can buy for the low low. lol

Yep, I am! Thanks!
