I don't care about GDS or Sidwell, but I do care about GDS and Sidwell's transportation plans.
And GDS has a better one, period.
What’s the plan?
Wisconsin and River Rd are already traffic sewers. GDS didn’t make them that way and the GDS campus will have de minimus impact on these choked arteries. How should it be the responsibility of GDS to fix Tenley’s traffic mess?
But GDS is community minded! GDS has a plan!
If it’s such a sewer, why is GDS moving even more children there? Don’t they care about their students?
I expect they will herd everyone inside and pull up the drawbridge.
PP didn’t call Tenleytown a sewer, PP said traffic sewer, which it is. By moving their LS from a non-METRO accessible location to one 2 blocks away (and requiring everyone else to take a bus or carpool), they are taking a step that will help the larger community.

Except Sidwell parents, who don't care about anyone, especially the sick and elderly.
Please provide proof that anyone was kicked out of the Washington Home. Otherwise, enough, it is sick and tiresome.
Your last sentence refers to how Sidwell viewed those elderly people with nowhere to go but the curbs.

The mixed-use got temporarily nixed by aging NIMBY “OK-Boomers” who love Tenley’s mattress stores more than the prospect of more diverse, younger residents and vibrancy coming to their pretend village in the city. But the mayor has thrown her weight squarely behind more intensive development in Upper NW DC, so let’s hope GDS pushes forward.
So GDS is not community minded enough to listen to the community? How will they enforce the two students to one car rule? How will they avoid backups on River Rd? How will they avoid HS students parking in the neighborhood? Why are they moving their entire campus to a neighborhood for which their boosters show such distain? How will they keep HS from parking illegally in the neigborhood?
GDS is very community minded, as evidenced by this project. What GDS has proposed, as an institution committed to giving back through investment in the community, can be a transformative game changer for Tenley-town. Look at what Penn has done for West Philadelphia or what Harvard is doing in Allston. Although the GDS project is smaller in scale, the principle is much the same. We should celebrate it.
