There's no way Vihstadt can be stopped in a special election. Then it just takes one more to flip the County Board
This is why he isn’t stepping down and his colleagues are still supporting him, so that they don’t have to hold a special election where the “right” candidate isn’t preselected for us. With Gutshall’s unfortunate news, it seems two seats will be contestable in the near future.
