Nova shouldn’t get a dime. Let Fairfax County raise property taxes or levy a local tax.

I support that in theory. That poorer schools in Southern VA could get more money. Maybe the restaurant tax could pass now?

I'm the PP and agree. We don't want to be Maryland or DC, but upper income people in NoVA like our family could stand to pay more in taxes to support southwest Virginia. Otherwise you end up with a tale of two states and a lot of resentment. That doesn't work in Nova's favor when the majority of the state (and, therefore, representation) does not live in Nova.

Don't ruin this opportunity to pass Universal background checks.

There has already been a massive backlash against several of the other proposed firearms legislation.

Heck even Stacey Kincaid and Beth Arthur said they won't enforce confiscation.

Making school board elections partisan so we get to vote in primaries without having to possibly pay to join a Democratic Committee. In Fairfax County non eligible voters in general elections could pay or get a subsidy. person could be here for a few months, non-citizen, or just visiting family- vote!

I'm going to be honest - I do not love the school board endorsement process. I especially don't love that the loopholes were exploited like crazy and totally screwed up the committee to the point we all have to vote on new membership rules.

You need to watch this interview. The interviewer keeps calling Omeish an "Independent" and she keeps trying to explain that she is really a Democrat. It's a perfect example of the ridiculousness of this "nonpartisan" election.

Either make it partisan or make the endorsements illegal. It makes a mockery of the whole system.
