DD's club was reprimanded by the ECNL this week for being out of uniform - some older girls (U15 perhaps) wore dark shorts and light shirts for a game and they were supposed to be all in light colors. Then DD got her first period TODAY and has a game tomorrow where she has to wear light colors. There's no way she's trying a tampon on day 1. I don't have THINX or something similar for her. So she's running around in a woman's overnight pad tomorrow afternoon. Or she can wear dark bike shorts under her kit, which I suspect might get her in trouble for being out of uniform. WTH is the problem with letting these girls wear dark uniform shorts so they can just play and forget about potential embarrassment?

Instead of just having the girls wear their darker shorts, you are trying to find ways to prevent that? A 11 or 12 year old girl usually doesnt start wearing tampons right away. Its not big deal to bleed and still play? GTFO.
Some of you are total assholes.
The fact is is that if the other team is wearing a dark color your team has to change to a light color - which is more often than not white.
There are a lot of blue teams, green teams - someone has to change to white.
Wrong. The jerseys have to be different colors, not the shorts.
Not in leagues that aren’t Rec. I’ve never seen a navy blue team play a team with white jerseys and navy blue shorts.
Never. I play myself and that would be wickedly confusing.

Looks like regular spandex shorts under a uniform. My daughter’s worn them for a few years.
They also make teen/tween undies.

Thanks for the links. Great for school days, but these come in black, pink stripes, gray, maroon and royal blue - none of those will work under light colored shorts.
My dad wears the black under her white shorts.
Wear the black, top with white spandex shorts and then the shorts.
A little overkill but should do the job and feel cozy
