Some careers will end for this corruption but not the one that really needs to.

Closure of that airport would have been the fatal blow to Trump’s failing resort. So Trump found a way to prop up the airport - with our tax dollars, of course. Despicable - and an obvious violation of the emoluments clause. When will this flagrant corruption end?

There will be a lot of "well.. Trump did it and Rs were fine with it".. that's for sure.
Pretty much. Trump has created an anything goes precedent. Anything thing following Presidents do will look tame by comparison.
Finally, do you Republicans now understand why this is so bad??? Trump's actions will encourage anyone in the top job to act in the same criminal way. Is this what you want?
I think this has been a valuable lesson (if a predictable one). Many of the constraints on this kind of thing were norm and not law. We probably need more laws. Additionally, we need to elect people who won't do this.
Every day under Trump makes me long more for a president Warren. She seems as close to a President Bartlet as we are going to get.
+1

Globemasters aren’t like flying commercial. They’re slower, wayyyyyy louder inside, and generally are about as comfortable as riding on a wood bench in the back of a moving truck. I’d be thrilled at the prospect of a sauna dip and a comfy bed after 6,000 miles on a C17.
Good for Trump for thinking of those Airmen’s comfort. That’s class.
YOU PAID FOR THEIR STAY AND WERE NOT CONSULTED BEFORE-HAND.
You also enriched Trump in the process.
If you're still fine with this, we have no more to say to each other.

Seventeen goldang million dollars.
What’s even more worrisome is that the Pentagon is stonewalling the House investigation into this.

This is a photo of four C-17 Globemasters on July 23rd lined up to get overpriced fuel at tiny Prestwick airport so the crews can then go to Turnberry and shovel US taxpayer money into the pockets of the Dear Leader.
