You sound very dramatic.

You have no idea if they planned last min. It takes all of five mins to book a hotel, if they found some who offered to babysit. You are deciding the facts and then judging them based on your made up facts, versus believing what they say.

You don’t know their friend, either. Maybe they wanted to visit alone with the friends because of something personal, or had no seen in a long time or didn’t want to have to entertain and try to join together two stranger groups.

If you feel you can trust her, then trust her. They came last min and had friends they wanted to visit with at that event. Big whoops. Why is this even a thing? Continue the relationship as usual and if she shuts down communication over and over then you can ask her directly if you did something or if she needs support.

How do you all get through your lives? Geeze.

OP, there are endless possibilities for why this happened, and some of them have nothing to do with your personally. I understand that you're a little stung right now, but your reaction to this could limit your relationship with your cousin forever. I would respond back with one of the helpful suggestions some posters offered. Let it go and see if you get any other signs that something's wrong before you pull away.
