The top teams in the area play up in these "pre-season" tournaments. Many times theyll play up at this age group to get the 11v11 experience before going to it full time. (and to prepare for their 11v11 spring tourneys). So there being a U11/U12 combined bracket isnt the end of the world.
The size differences arent all that crazy like people here are saying. (coming from someone that currently has a younger U14 player).
All that being said, size isnt the say all tell all determining factor of who will be better.
In the spring do all U12 teams start playing 11 vs 11 in their tournaments?

And if your son thinks winning games in preseason is as important as winning later in the year or later in life, maybe he needs to spend time with somebody else.
Every time you win, you're reborn; when you lose, you die a little.
Right. Keep drinking the tiger blood, Charlie. I bet you are a real winner.

Anonymous wrote:Oh. My. god. This is CHILDREN’s soccer, people. Get a grip. Like PP said, worry less about outcome and more about process. And don’t project your thoughts about all of this onto your kid. They are playing because it’s fun. And if not, then they’re playing for you and that’s all wrong.
