OP, I'm glad to hear that you have an appointment with a veterinary behaviorist. My dog sees Dr. Amy Pike for separation anxiety and she is really great. Most of her practice is geared towards aggressive dogs, though. She would be a good resource and I'm sure she has a network of trainers that she could recommend and work with while meds are worked out. There is hope.

OP, euthanize the dog. Or, give her up to a rescue, if they will take her, and see if they can regime he to people without children who will keep her in a calm environment.
