OP, Once you eliminate sugar, wheat, and other foods from your diet, your body tells you, in no uncertain terms, how horrible this food is for you and your health.

Clearly, DCU is not the place to discuss even semi-clean eating.

Enjoy the cheddar bunnies!

Yep. I feel sorry for op going through life like this with her day ruined over one bite of food, only to die at the same age as the rest of us. And probably no thinner than the rest of us.

I hate it when people refer to foods as “clean”. It’s meaningless and imputes virtue to our eating.

News flash: eating perfect won’t make you go to heaven and eating bad won’t make you go to hell.

I don't eat processed food at all and you OP are a loser.

If the food might make my body feel awful or I don't want the food, i simply don't eat. I'm not such a pig that I can't go a few hours without food.

As a vegetarian the past 25 years I learned long ago to eat at home before going to any party/outing. So I only have to nibble on the grosser food to look polite.

I buy expensive ingredients for myself I don't expect anyone to also buy expensive ingredients and cook for an entire group.

Plus, if it was so gross you couldn’t even eat it, how is it making you sick?

Ha. This!

What in the world OP? You sound unpleasant.

It sounds better than what Trump served that football team who visited the WH. I thought you were going to say it was all McDonald's!

You may want to review the most recalled foods list. They tend to be non processed foods. JFYI.

What wrong with cheddar bunnies? I like that Annie’s is made with organic ingredients but tbh the main reasons I avoid Goldfish is because they taste super salty and because of the recall /food scare a few months ago with Goldfish.

And I just scarfed down 1/3 a bag of flavored Tostitos, so I’m not a crazy “clean” eater either.

Ha, thanks, one person out of 5 pages gets me. Hahahaha.

This is the 2010's orthorexic version of "Princess and the Pea."

Yes, OP, you *are* a real princess!

Also how long was this party? Couldn't you just wait and eat later?

Only for an hour or so this AM. I thought it was homemade, until I took a bite and realized it was all highly processed stuff. I didn’t eat more, except the donut, and promptly felt sick. It was my own fault obviously. I haven’t been eating much sugar at all so the sugar made me sick.

You really aren’t making yourself sound any better with all of these qualifications. Donuts are donuts. They have sugar. I suspect you have disordered eating as you are fixating on one bad bite of food.

I don’t, at all. I’m saying that if you eat well, then you can tell immediately that processed food doesn’t taste like much else except chemicals.

It’s sort of two discussions: 1.
I ate the donut. It had a lot of sugar. It made me feel sick. I know donuts have sugar. I knew what I was doing.
2. Processed food is nasty.

3. Then I had to come on to DCUM to let everybody know that I eat so healthy that a donut made me sick.

Exactly! She so doesn't have an eating disorder!
