If you know where Pipeline is located, you wouldn’t make this bizarre suggestion. It’s about 1 hour drive away from the Bethesda area.
If you were following other discussions you would understand the previous comment. The poster was not seriously suggesting anyone from MOCO play for Pipeline.
BSC top teams are the best in MOCO. Always have been and always will be.
Please stop. MRM Rush just replaced the 05 team at Bethesda because that team was horrible. MRM Rush still has the top 06 team.
The point is that MoCo players are actually traveling to other places to play for better programs. I don't think it was Shannon's fault.
Who’s fault was it?
Ask yourself that question
As an example: an employee can leave a company for many reasons. Their co-workers sucks, their immediate boss sucks, the CEO sucks, the quality of internal training sucks, the company is too cheap, the corporate culture sucks, lack of advancements or many other reasons.
Similarly, a parent/player can leave a club for a host of reasons too. A Girls’ Director of Coaching might not have control of the some of the reasons why a players leave a club. An Executive Director might more more blame than a Director of Coaching.
LOL so it’s everyone’s fault but the person responsible?![]()

The only thing protecting Bethesda is that there are not enough strong clubs in the area. If Bethesda was in the Baltimore/Annapolis area, players would have bolted to MD United, Pipeline or other high quality clubs. Sadly, the only viable option is McLean or Arlington.
There are other strong teams, or up-and-coming teams around the Bethesda area. Several great coaches who don't want the Bethesda politics. It takes a little looking around.
Other fish in the sea, for sure. IMO the ECNL keeps people at Bethesda (although, from the threads here it sounds like the "dream" of moving up to ECNL from a lower team is not likely to happen). The other factor is the busy level of the parents - a lot of professionals who don't have the time/energy to seek out better situations for their kids. I know several BSC Girls parents, and they all complain and sound unhappy about one thing or another.
