OP here. It's not an FB group. It's WhatsApp. I don't care that she doesn't respond etc. I just don't really see why she should know so many details about them when I don't share that with others.

I dont get why I have to be so involved with the kids of others. I barely have the bandwidth for my own kids. I have tons of nephews and nieces, my friends have kids. They share pics,I would hate for them to think of me the way you think of your in law. I just dont have the time to make anyone else the center of my life. My kids are the center of my life.

I have a slightly different take. I think OP doesn't like herself when seen through SIL's eyes, and that's why she doesn't want to share the updates with SIL. She can be a loving mommy with the other family, but in front of SIL it doesn't fly.

OP, my advice is to be confident in who you are and forget about what SIL thinks. And yes, pushing her off the list will make major waves.

Maybe I'm projecting. My sister-in-law literally calls me a horrible wife and mother every time we see her (8 years younger than me, unmarried and no children).

Eventually I just removed her from our family whatsapp as the only time she would comment was to make fun of the kids' hair/clothes or her brother.
